Registered purchasers and users of Version 1.0 of the Robinson Curriculum may purchase Version 2.0 for the upgrade price of $80. This makes their total cost $175 for both Versions 1.0 and 2.0 which is a $20 savings over the Version 2.0 price alone. In addition, each Version 2.0 comes with a $100 discount on the complete set of nine Saxon Math books or $10 per book for those not wishing to purchase the entire set. Version 2.0 is an extraordinary system of home education.

With over 14 gigabytes of information on 22 CD­ROMs, the production of Version 2.0 has been a major undertaking for our family and the volunteers who work with us. It has been made possible by the very hard work of many people. The necessary funds for its completion were supplied by donations to the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine, by earnings from sales of Version 1.0, and by earnings from the newsletter Access to Energy.

We hope that you will find that Version 2.0 improves your own home school as much as it has improved ours. The Version 1.0 curriculum is good and quite useful. It can be honestly said, however, that there is not now any home school curriculum for sale anywhere that provides as high a quality of home-school education as does this Version 2.0.

We have several additional features in mind that will eventually become a part of a Version 3.0. That version will probably be completed in about two years. In the immediate future, we are turning our attention to the production of home school college courses.

Many home school families with older students are confronted with the same problems in turning their young men and women over to public colleges that they faced in turning them over to public grade schools and high schools. Moreover, the financial costs of on­campus college education have become ridiculously high. Meanwhile, both the academic and moral quality of American colleges and universities has been falling as rapidly as has that of the grade and high schools. Increasingly, college campuses are not places that we want our young people to experience. We plan to begin producing home study courses that will help alleviate this problem.

Thank you for your support for Version 1.0. We hope that, in experiencing Version 2.0, each family that helped to produce it will share in its many benefits. Version 2.0 is now available and the Mac version is expected to be shipped in February 1997.
